WHAT IS ACB?
THE ALAMO COUNCIL OF THE BLIND (ACB) is a local, nonprofit, membership organization primarily comprised of persons who are blind or visually impaired, established in San Antonio and Bexar County, since 1978. ACB is an affiliate of the American Council of the Blind of Texas and of the American Council of the Blind national organization.

WHAT IS ACB’S PHILOSOPHY?
ACB believes in the independence, dignity and equal quality of life opportunities for all persons who are blind or visually impaired. Its mission is to encourage and to assist people with visual impairments to develop their abilities and attain their maximum potential in order to become fully participating and productive members within the community.
